More information about the campaign and nomination:

As part of Beauty Revived, a photography movement, The Road Home Photography is asking for nominations for beautiful mothers in Colorado Springs to be featured in a national magazine.

The beauty of these women will not be measured by their waist size or flare for fashion.  No, these women will be chosen because of their real beauty, their courage and their countenance.  The winner will be given a free photo session with The Road Home Photography and a feature in the Mother’s Day issue of Beauty Revived magazine.

Beauty Revived is a movement that celebrates women with real beauty.  Photographers donate sessions to these women and their stories are featured in their magazine and website: www.beautyrevived.com.

Hundreds of photographers applied to be a part of the Beauty Revived 50 Most Beautiful Mothers campaign and Jenna Wren of The Road Home Photography was chosen to find a deserving mother to photograph.

“I want to show the real, authentic beauty that moms show every single day in ways that they can’t even imagine!  They sacrifice so much everyday and put themselves last with such love, grace, patience, and kindness that moms often forget how incredibly beautiful they are both on the outside and the inside.  I want to share their stories and real beauty with others so that they can be an inspiration for what true beauty is all about.  They radiate beauty, and they often often have no idea!”

Jenna Wren will be accepting nominations from February 25-March 3rd and will then choose one mom to donate a photography session to honor their real beauty and story.  The mother chosen will be an example of real beauty and will have shown their beauty by their service when weary, grace in defeat and kindness when tried.

“I want to shine a light on the beautiful sacrifice and genuine love that so many mothers give without even a thought for themselves. I want to capture that mom for who she truly is, and I hope that her children will look back on these images for years to come and see how incredibly beautiful their mom is and how much she loves them. I can’t think of a better way to honor your mom for Mother’s Day this year!”

Beauty Revived was started eighteen months ago as a way for photographers to use their lens for good and shine light on the real beauty that was happening in our communities.  In the last year and a half, more than 300 women, girls and children have been featured on their website and magazine.

“As a high school senior photographer, I started Beauty Revived because I saw the power that a photographer has in shaping perception and altering dialogue on beauty,” Michelle Gifford, Beauty Revived founder, said.

“The photographers who participate in our campaigns not only have great technical and artistic talent but also have big hearts and a desire to be more than just a picture taker.  They want to be a photographer who changes the world with their work,” Gifford said.
