“Her messy hair, a visible attribute to her stubborn spirit. As she shakes it free, she smiles knowing wild is her favorite color.”
-J. Iron Word
My Against the Grain High School Senior Team (Class of 2018) couldn’t wait to get out in the Colorado wilderness for this incredible shoot. J.Iron Word inspired the heart and soul of our shoot as we loosened our ponytails, dawned our comfiest hiking clothes, and brushed on the slightest bit of make up to hike and explore the Palmer Lake area just north of Colorado Springs. We were completely blown away by the beauty of this private and pristine spot, and we later found out that we really needed to be a lot more noisy than we were (which is saying a lot with 7 girls hiking through the woods!) because we were in mountain lion territory…although most of Colorado is pretty much mountain lion territory! We wanted to celebrate the wild, free, and beautiful heart of Colorado senior girls. We definitely succeeded!
If you have a wild and free heart then I think we could create beautiful magic together!
